There is a persistent convention going on in the media and elsewhere to call illegal immigrants as being migrants! This is a disturbing euphemism!
Why don't we call them e.g. permanent tourists or laboring tourists or four seasons harvest helpers? George Orwell would be much more pleased!
I bet, if the direction of the massive flow of "migrants" was reversed (e.g. Americans "migrating" to Mexico), the citizens of the destination country (origin country of migrants, i.e. Mexico) would not be happy either. Just a thought!
Such intentional mislabeling is the language of propaganda and demagoguery!
