I have a hunch that Africa may use AI to leapfrog the West in adopting and applying AI! This is an opportunity for African people! Western countries are already mired in alarmism and hysteria about AI! The interviewed professor from South Africa pointed out that e.g. computational linguistics could be very helpful to deal with he many dialects in Africa.
