I agree with the article's assessment that, thanks to Trump’s withdrawal from Syria, Russia faces a huge challenge with the responsibility to deal with war-torn Syria (dictator Assad; enormous rebuilding costs), Islamic theocracy Iran, Erdogan’s Turkey, and Israel. Putin the Terrible has his hands full now to keep his navy base in Tartus, Syria (established in 1971)!
