Like Many Other Westerners
I suspect not many living,
raised, and educated in the Occident have ever heard of this place? We may be
familiar with Egyptian treasures and with Latin American pre-Columbian
cultures, but India? Sure we all know the Taj Mahal and perhaps a few other
places. Perhaps we like Indian food.
Chand Baori – The Deepest Step Well in the
World
Thanks to the Bing search
engine, which presents a new picture every day, I saw a picture of this architectural
wonder a few days ago. Please google or bing it to learn more about it! This
well was constructed between 800-900 AD, it is about 100 feet deep and has
about 3,500 steps. It looks amazing almost like an upside down pyramid. J
