Probably good news! Gender equality does not mean 50%! Meritocracy over ideology please! No gender mediocracy in the US military please!
Probably, the number of qualified high ranking female soldiers is also quite smaller than those of male high ranking soldiers. Or in other words the two pools of individuals are different and the chances for a more qualified male are higher.
Men watch out in the age of gender equality!
