Will future laws by our elected representatives improve when written by or assisted by AI? I have some serious doubts. Humans will remain in control for the foreseeable future.
Where AI might really be useful is to comb through existing and future legislation and regulation to find inconsistencies, conflicting and outdated stuff and so on. Streamlining and reducing the myriad of laws and regulations aka deregulation.
Among the organizers is Christopher D. Manning, a well known expert of natural language processing at Stanford University.
