This is serious stuff! What a brain drain! This translates into e.g. 1.3 million lifetime citations going away from Google according to Google Scholar.
At least Google was able to retain Koray Kavukcuoglu (345,000 citations).
I have read many of the papers by these well known ML & AI researchers.
