"An ambitious plan backed by Jared Kushner to build a high-end luxury complex along Albania’s Adriatic coastline has sparked widespread protests and an investigation by the country’s organized-crime prosecutors.
Anti-corruption officials allege that a Miami-based businessman who sold the site’s coastal land for €110 million (equivalent to around $125 million), laundered international cocaine money and forged property deeds to execute the deal. The criminal probe adds intense legal fuel to weeks of mass public protests against the multi-billion-dollar development."
