He is an unelected U.S. Senator (D), who was appointed by CA Governor Gavin Newsom (D) to replace then U.S. Senator Mistress Kamala (D-CA).
Once more the incompetence of Gavin Newsom is evident here! He certainly ruined his chances to become the next US President not least because of his handling of the violent riots in LA.
