I guess, police officers are supposed to be unarmed, wear no protective gear and to hand out candies and chocolates to deal with violent rioters to please these demagogues!
Demagogues are working hard to convert non-lethal into less-lethal!
Are police officers not trained in the use of such weapons? Maybe they need better training.
Maybe the safety of such weapons can be further improved etc.
I also have some serious doubts about the claim that these non lethal police weapons were last tested only in the 1950s-70s and only on military recruits.
