Add to this the widespread acceptance and practice over the past 50-60 years or so of homosexuality.

How will the battle of the sexes go on?
If I may speculate within the next 30-60 years from now most or any gender distinctions, we know and are familiar with today, will have disappeared or lost most of its relevance. This ought to be a voluntary process pursued by free and responsible adult individuals.
Procreation of humans will happen in some other form. By then, humans will live much longer anyway. Sexual pleasures will be virtual or otherwise experienced if still wanted.
P.S. This is e.g. not an endorsement of applying medical gender changes to minors as some lunatics pursue in our times!
