Yes, it is overwhelming how many new research papers of your interest are published almost on a daily basis! To keep up is hard! Publish or perish has not yet perished over the decades!
Among other things, the article suggests using visual mapping tools to find new papers of interest. These kind of tools have been around for a few years. I have not really tried it yet.
I have been using Semantic Scholar for several years now and I am quite happy with it!
