A prisoner of his own mind!

I recently learnt what it really means when someone has become a prisoner of his own mind over the course of roughly the last 20 years.

His mental trap is so deep and multi faceted that the person can not find a way out by himself. He displays long lasting, strong compulsive, obsessive behavior. He tends to be manipulative and controlling to others close to him. His social life seems to be a bare minimum. Members of his family can not reach or influence him anymore. He has been thoroughly brainwashed by one or more persons and he tries to brainwash others in a similar way who come into contact with him. He has been under the spell of someone turning him almost into a zombie. 

This prisoner of his own mind also totally refuses to see any kind of physician. One thing is for sure, he visibly has some serious physical and dental health issues. Nobody knows how much he is a hypochondriac or what is really the status of his mental or physical health. He only relies on and applies quackery to treat his various ailments.

A very difficult situation!
