Tax Payer Funded Propaganda
Recently, I watched a PBS News
Hour recording including a segment on rural children in a country in Central
America with allegedly blackened/rotten teeth supposedly caused by sugary
drinks made by big US companies. This was lousy tax payer funded, cheap
propaganda clearly following a prejudiced narrative.
Lousy Journalism
PBS News did not bother to
interview any government officials why these children or parents did not
receive any education on how to maintain oral hygiene etc.. They spoke only to
one doctor/dentist caring for the children. They had no interview with staff of
the beverage maker/distributor.
One wonders also why, e.g.,
one of the featured mothers had superbly white and healthy looking teeth while
her daughter’s teeth were rotten. PBS News hour failed to ask how come.
