Stanford U: After DEI controversies, companies talk up diversity – but hiring tells a different story. Really!

This Stanford U business school study seems dubious anyway. It focused only on "over nearly 1,300 diversity, equity, and inclusion-related controversies at 315 U.S. public companies from 2008 to 2022, tracking their hiring and retention data and market performance after each incident."

Since when is the skin color of the employees of a company profitable? A different skin color does not mean more sales, better products etc.!

It would be quite foolish for any company to rely on DEI hiring to improve business! Sometimes it pays not to walk the talk! 😊

When will this DEI ideology be finally dumped on the dustbin of history, where it belongs for a long time!

This study shows the disconnect of the  Stanford Graduate School of Business with reality!

"In brief
  • Stanford GSB professor David Larcker and colleagues analyzed DEI controversies at 315 U.S. public companies from 2008 to 2022 for hiring and retention data.
  • The study found minimal increases in diversity hiring following DEI-related controversies, primarily in junior and low-paying roles.
  • Findings indicate a disconnect [???] between companies’ DEI messaging and actual hiring practices, indicating shortcomings in corporate diversity strategies [???].
