Wall Street Journal: Trump’s trade math ignores a major export: services. Really!

Quite a phony and amateurishly false or dubious claim by Wall Street Journal!

Somebody at the Wall Street Journal tried to be very clever!

Foreign trade is usually measured in exports/imports of foreign goods and services!

"While the U.S. buys more goods from abroad than it sells, the opposite is true for services, which include everything from streaming subscriptions to financial advice. Countries adjusting to a suddenly more adversarial trade relationship with the U.S. can’t easily impose tariffs on services—but they can tax, fine or ban American companies. Since Wall Street’s performance yesterday, governments are asking whether Trump’s policy about face is method or madness. Stateside, Trump’s tariff man Peter Navarro is down but not out. Stay on top of all things tariffs with WSJ’s live news and analysis."
