President Trump summed it up best: "The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!"
Texas alleged that Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin violated the rights of Texas voters when they changed election rules without authorization by their respective state legislatures. One can ask why did these state legislatures not intervene or even reverse the changes?
The court order is very terse, little explanation for the justices reasoning is given other than "Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. ".
These spineless judges had the opportunity to clean up general election procedures in the United States, they failed! They passed the bucket! Justice denied! What a miscarriage! Did the justices not recognize that when a few Dimocratic Party controlled metropolitan areas can decide tight elections by manipulation that this is dangerous for the Republic and the federal Constitution?
Apparently, two justices, i.e. Samuel A. Alito and Clarence Thomas, had a different opinion on the matter as the second half of the court order indicates. The newest justice on the court, Amy Coney Barrett, apparently also disappointed.
The ball is back in the court of state and U.S.congress representatives! Will enough representatives have the courage and wisdom to go ahead?
Here is the order:
