My observation in recent times tells me that VDH (age 72) produces too many articles, which affects quality.
It also seems he has become a lot more polarizing and politicized in his daily output! His current preoccupation with daily petty political skirmishes tarnishes his previous stellar reputation as a historian!
I basically do not follow him anymore!
C'est très dommage! I used to like his articles in the past!
