"A federal appeals court has rejected former President Biden’s bid to block release of audio recordings and transcripts from his interviews with memoir ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer.
The D.C. Circuit’s 2-1 ruling found the public interest in disclosing the redacted material outweighs Biden’s privacy claims. The court suspended its decision until Aug. 3, giving Biden time to consider a further appeal.
Zwonitzer’s interviews with Biden were later obtained by special counsel Robert Hur, who described Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” fueling Republican demands for the raw audio that could reveal signs of early cognitive decline. ..."
