Will the Iranian people finally have a democracy?

I personally remember some of the Iranian dissidents that lived in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and who demonstrated against the then Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1919-1980) and for democracy. That was in the 1970s!
