What took so long! I thought that was settled decades ago!

The networks previously required a store that accepts one Visa credit card to accept all Visa credit cards. For consumers, this means rewards cards might not be accepted at the register, while low- or no-frills credit cards, which tend to be cheaper for stores, would be."
