Unfortunately, one has to assume that those so called get out the vote campaigns often care little about the status of individuals residing in the U.S. One can further safely assume that Dimocratic campaigns care less than Republican campaigns.
You add to that citizens with residence in more than one state or who recently moved from one state to another. Honesty and outdated voter registration rolls become a serious issue possibly tilting battle state results!
