China Is Testing More Driverless Cars Than Any Other Country

Good news with some qualification!

A communist dictatorship can push this aggressively without regards for negative consequences or opposition from citizens.

Let's not forget that the Chinese invented great things in the past long before the Renaissance in Western countries : e.g. printing press with movable type, paper money, gunpowder ...
