One major reason why the global SARS-CoV-2/Covid-19 pandemic was relatively harmless was that children were least affected. Therefore, it is no surprise if the CDC documents that long Covid is rare among children.
Long Covid is in my opinion a very dubious or ambiguous term. For a hammer everything looks like a nail. For a doctor most everybody looks like a patient no matter how healthy or whether visiting or not. That is their business.
"Key findings
Data from the National Health Interview Survey
In 2022, 1.3% of children ever had Long COVID, and 0.5% of children had Long COVID at the time of interview (currently have Long COVID). Girls (1.6%) were more likely than boys (0.9%) to ever have Long COVID."
