Next Green Revolution Is Imminent

Just read Wheat’s complex genome finally deciphered, offering hope for better harvests and nonallergenic varieties.

The International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium (founded in 2005; a massive collaboration of academic and industry researchers from 20 countries) finally finished sequencing the rather complex wheat genome of 107,000 genes on 21 chromosomes.

One can only imagine what benefits will come next!
