Microdrugging only benefits women so they can focus better?

I have some doubts about this particular study! This is about preliminary, early research results.

How to distinguish placebo from microdosis?

Was the microdosis given to men the same as for women? Was it too small?

P.S. I am not familiar with the details of this study.

"Preliminary research" seems to be the operative term here.

"Could microdosing LSD help women focus?

Preliminary research suggests that the psychedelic drug LSD might help women focus for longer and respond faster to stimuli.
A double-blind randomized trial was presented at the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Congress last week.
In it, 48 participants were given either 15 micrograms of LSD four times over two weeks, or a placebo, and then set a series of cognitive tests. Women who received the microdose reacted 8% faster than those who had been given the placebo and experienced fewer attention lapses.
The microdose had little effect on the attentional capacity of male participants. The research group plans to conduct larger studies that explore other variables such as hormone levels and baseline cognition."

Nature Briefing: Translational Research

Microdosing LSD shows some cognitive benefits — but only for women (only partial public access) "Different effects of low-dose psychedelics on sustained attention in women and men deserve further investigation."

More research needed into the effects of microdosing LSD (2019 news article from Maastricht University)
