"Aquablation — a minimally invasive technique that uses real-time imaging, robotics and a high-pressure water jet to blast tissue — is being trialled in 280 people with prostate cancer across seven countries.
The technique has been used in the past to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition where the prostate is enlarged.
Researchers hope that aquablation can remove cancerous tissue while preserving the nerves and muscles associated with erectile function and the bladder."
