New York appeals court judges raised concerns about whether a state consumer fraud law applied to the former president’s conduct

Good news! The Dimocratic Party lawfare by any means waged against Trump was insane and despicable!

"A New York appeals court heard arguments in Donald Trump’s bid to overturn a $489 million penalty for fraudulently valuing parts of his real-estate empire for financial gain.
The judges raised concerns about whether a state consumer fraud law applied to the former president’s conduct. The case centered largely on inflated financial statements that Trump submitted to Deutsche Bank to get low-interest loans that he repaid. The panel also questioned how the trial judge calculated the ill-gotten gains. Trump put the penalty on hold for now with a $175 million bond. If the penalty stands and he’s unable to pay, his properties could be seized."
