It looks like Google just introduced a new feature Memory Saver to show how much memory an inactive tab uses.
Why does e.g. a simple Google search use up over 100 MB? Does this not indicate that Google Chrome is ineffizient in its management of storage/memory? I think so!
I am not sure I like this new feature. It seems more annoying than helpful. Before this new feature I did not have any memory issues despite the fact that I always have at least 6 instances of Google Chrome open at any time. But I also have 16 GB of RAM.
I just turned the new feature off! 😊
