Just blogged here about organized retail theft in the US.
At daytime? During museum hours! These are some daring thieves!
"In just seven minutes, the thieves used a portable elevator to reach a balcony outside a gilded gallery on the museum’s second floor, cut a hole in a window with an angle grinder and smashed display cases before speeding away on a motorcycle along the Seine River. Officials said that they are trying to establish the full list of stolen artifacts but that the speed and precision of the crime suggests experienced criminals who had spent time planning the heist."
