Drone warfare and infantry soldiers and other lessons from the Russo-Ukrainian War

The Russo-Ukrainian War has been teaching us a number of lessons about the near future of warfare. Here are some examples:

  1. As I blogged here before, tanks today are like the long gone medieval knights. A cheap drone can easily finish a very expensive tank like arrows finished knights.
  2. The same or similar fate of tanks maybe applicable to navy vessels.
  3. Soldiers on foot are easy targets. They can be spotted day and night and can be quickly and effectively killed. Worse, comrades trying to help an injured fellow soldier are doomed.
  4. Drone swarm attacks are cheap and difficult to defend against.
