Japan lifts chipmaking export controls on South Korea

This follows the recent compromise by South Korea over the dispute regarding  forced labor (see my blog here)

"Japan lifted export controls it had imposed on South Korea in regard to three materials needed to produce semiconductors and displays, responding to Seoul's gesture to improve soured ties.
Ahead of the summit between Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and visiting President Yoon Suk Yeol in Tokyo, both governments announced on Thursday that Japan eliminated regulations on hydrogen fluoride, fluorinated polyamide and photoresist. ..."
