Artificial intelligence versus human intelligence in the near future

Will artificial intelligence in the future remain hardware/computer based like today or will it be based more on biological substances? This is a difficult question. However, my hunch is that physical materials beat biological ones.

I bet, in few decades we come to the turning point when artificial intelligence will surpass current level human intelligence. 

I also bet, human intelligence will be improved by various interventions like genetic engineering etc. in the coming decades. However, there is a distinct possibility that artificial intelligence, not bound e.g. by biological limitations, may improve faster.

Will we live in harmony or in antagonism with superior artificial intelligent agents/robots?
Will humans be able to incorporate superior artificial intelligence in some form or fashion? I am optimistic, we meet the challenge!

What is obvious is that the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere was anything but constant over long periods of time! Furthermore, how accurate and reliable these long term data are is questionable.

The first chart below also suggests a stability of the atmospheric CO2 concentration for the past roughly 10,000 years. Probably an artifact! 

What is even more questionable is the correlation between atmospheric CO2 and e.g. earth surface temperatures. As one can see from the second chart there were tremendous fluctuations of earth temperatures over the past 500 million years. Within shorter periods you can suspect huge fluctuations as well.

Here we report OMF treatment of end-stage recurrent glioblastoma in a 53-year-old man who had undergone radical surgical excision and chemoradiotherapy, and experimental gene therapy for a left frontal tumor. He experienced tumor recurrence and progressive enlargement with leptomeningeal involvement. OMF for 5 weeks was well tolerated, with 31% reduction of contrast-enhanced tumor volume and reduction in abnormal T2-weighted Fluid-Attenuated Inversion Recovery volume. How far will global population rise? Researchers can’t agree

Recommendable! Will world population peek at 11 billion from current roughly 8 billion? 

Is government population size control necessary? Definitely not!

Is it necessary or desirable to maintain a fertility rate (about 2.1 births per woman) at population replacement level at the national or some other level? This is at least controversial.

They say demography is destiny! The size of the population has in the past featured prominently in power politics!

Fear mongering and alarmism still persists!

In the late 1960s, we were alarmed by the so called and mostly debunked  overpopulation time bomb hypothesis by Paul R. Ehrlich, a Stanford University professor. His infamous book was published by the famous Sierra Club associated with the progressive movement!

Before that there was the population crisis described by Thomas Robert Malthus in 1798 stating that population growth could outpace agricultural production leading to starvation and worse. Well that did not happen!

There are at least two major trends at work that have influenced world population for the past 100 years or so:

1. Thanks to better living standards and medical treatments people live longer lives
2. For various voluntary and involuntary reasons people have less children per family or household than in previous times

How these two major trends work out nobody knows for sure. 

Will we have artificial wombs (ex utero embryos, see e.g. here, here, here) in the next 30 years or so. Quite possible that human reproduction will see dramatic changes going forward! 

Will there be humanoid robots or intelligent robots in the next 20 years or so. Quite possible!

So a male gay model with a Chinese partner and a dual German-Israeli citizenship, who is welcomed in the "far-right" party of Germany? Come on JTA! Too many contradictions and paradoxes here!

The description of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD, alternative for Germany) political party that is also running in the general elections of Germany on 9/26/2021 is anything, but far right. What a caricature the JTA produced! 

JTA failed to mention that Mr. Goldhammer is also a leading member of the Jüdische Bundesvereinigung in der AfD (Jewish Federal Association of the AfD). How is this possible for a so called far right political party?
