Home Depot Co-Founder calls President Trump the heir of Reagan!
Trump deserves a second term not despite his COVID-19 response, but because of it. ... Trump made the bold decision to block travel from China in January despite widespread criticisms from Biden, the media, and public health officials. He launched Operation Warp Speed that reduced burdensome regulations to develop a vaccine in record time. ...
Throughout his term, Trump has demonstrated real leadership -- unbowed by political and elite opinion -- that Americans want and deserve from their president. ...
Ex-convicts, the disabled, and others on the labor market fringe were able to find work and meaning. ...
And the poverty rate fell to its lowest level in 60 years. ...
Trump has also begun to unwind the Gordian knot of Obamacare through actions to personalize American healthcare. His executive orders to expand short-term and association health plans will finally lower healthcare costs for patients and small businesses. ...
While Democrats prattle on endlessly about protecting patients with preexisting conditions, Democrats themselves have threatened healthcare for this vulnerable group by making it so expensive. Half of American families avoid health care each year because they are scared of costs. One-sixth of Americans have medical debt in collections. ...
Trump’s record is even more impressive considering he has faced the most hostile media environment and Democrat intransigence in modern American history. ..."

A record 144 Million Covid-19 Tests in the United States and counting
As of today (10/29/2020) over 144 million Covid-19 tests were administered in the entire United States! This is an absolutely mind boggling number (source)! This effort is probably unprecedented in human history! This represents numerically 44% of the total U.S. population (assuming no one was tested more than once and excluding any foreigners) in only about seven months!
Our heartfelt gratitude should go out to all the incredible medical staff that made this miracle happen! What a fantastic job! What a dedication!
What would have habitual liar and corrupt Dimocratic three times presidential candidate Joseph Biden done differently?
In Arizona alone, a total of over 2 million tests were administered as of today (10/29/2020) (source). The population of Arizona is only 7.4 million!
It follows from these high testing numbers that other metrics are high too e.g. fatalities and number of infected! The political spin tried to exploit that shamelessly during this election year!

The Clash of Cultures and Ideologies in Western Democracies in the 21st century
With the long lasting Covid-19 pandemic, we may have reached something like a boiling point. Leftist extremists see their chance to force by violence and threats their preferred totalitarian political changes on its citizens! Muslim radicals feel emboldened. Citizens resist the draconian measures to fight a fairly harmless virus and its severe negative impact on the economy and so on ...
This political unrest is probably fueled or intensified by propaganda, disinformation and other interference by the enemies of Western democracies and free societies! Too many Western citizens are probably to naive and ignorant about that otherwise there would be already stronger defenses against it in place!
The world order, as established after World War II, is rapidly changing! Or is it failing? New centers of power (China, India, Brazil) have emerged or are trying to establish themselves (Turkey, Iran). Are Western democracies prepared to respond?
Some of the major fears of our time: Climate Change religion and artificial intelligence. Every day we are inundated/flooded with new apocalyptic news about the imminent end of the world if we do not immediately embrace socialist central planning and command limited to few options like renewable energy or electric cars etc. However, Global Warming is a hoax and Climate Change is a dominant, new religion of our time based on medieval superstition and incomplete and misleading science! We still know very little about our climate, any contrary claims are demagoguery! Artificial intelligence is associated with Big Brother fears and loss of human control ...
Every few decades or so such political unrest erupts in Western democratic societies. Western democracies tend to become stale, ossified, and complacent as years go by. Elected lifelong politicians become and prove feeble and incompetent! The status quo faces challenges. Will it be different this time? Will there be a push back this time against decades long creeping socialism?
Legalization of recreational marijuana for extra tax revenues?
Like proposition 207 on the November 3rd, 2020 Arizona general election ballot! If accepted, it will impose a 16% excise tax on marijuana sales to fund community colleges, infrastructure, public safety, and public health programs!
Sounds good! Doesn't it! Don't be gullible! A 16% excise tax is extremely high. Tax evasion will be pervasive and effective! You can bet that lot's of efforts will be spent to evade this tax, which will likely trigger then more government regulations and controls and so on ...
As I pointed out before in this blog (e.g. here), will e.g. driving under the influence (DUI) laws be adjusted to reflect strict consequences. Will other laws be in place that assign a higher responsibility and strict consequences to those who choose to consume psychoactive substances or alcohol.
Or will this be reneged or neglected to achieve higher tax revenues?
If someone becomes a severe addict of psychoactive substances, this person ought to be held responsible to seek medical treatment as soon as possible!
On protein to protein interactions in the human body
High-resolution structures of protein–protein interactions (PPIs) in the 1980s and 90s showed that the interfaces were large, flat featureless surfaces. This was entirely different from the deep pockets found in typical drug targets, such as enzymes and receptors, where small molecules can easily bind. ...
By mutating thousands of individual amino acids at protein–protein interfaces, biochemists found that only a small subset of residues was mostly responsible for binding. These ‘hot spots’ were much more relevant to the strength of the interaction than the size of the interaction surface. ..."

Amy Coney Barrett and the Virtue of Self-Government
Self-government is indispensable, especially in a diverse nation of free-thinking people. It gives individuals a sense of agency in public life. It allows different communities to live differently, based on their particular histories and priorities. Since self-rule makes us masters of our own fates, our energies are directed to real problems and practical solutions instead of abstract concepts and conspiracy theories about distant, invisible forces. ...
But in recent decades a number of trends have undermined self-government. The judiciary has invented new rights under the Constitution and statutes and then used them to invalidate democratically produced policies. This devalues the will of the people in at least two ways: It disregards what voters and their representatives actually did when ratifying the Constitution or passing a law, and it reduces the space for today’s voters and representatives to govern. ...
America must recover the connected beliefs that the most important societal decisions should be made by the people, that decentralized decision-making enables American pluralism to work, and that our Constitution assigns law-making (and therefore politics) to the legislative branch. Only then can citizens and their communities feel like they are in control ..."
Associate Justice Barett is in LOVE with the U.S. Constitution!
“I love the Constitution and the democratic republic that it establishes—and I will devote myself to preserving it,” Justice Barrett said in her remarks following her first swearing in ceremony on 10/26/2020 at the White House. All Democratic Senators Voted Against Barett As The Next U.S. Supreme Court Justice
Absolutely shameful on part of the Dimocratic (not a spelling mistake) Party! What a scandal! There is no other way to describe this! It is outrageous! This is such a display of dysfunctional and destructive behavior by these members of the Dimocratic Party! Totally Irresponsible! This is another bad omen! Hopefully, the American voters and citizens will finally realize where the Dimocratic Party is going and vote accordingly! Will better leaders in this party please rise up!
All 45 Dimocratic Senators and two independents who caucus with the Democrats voted against Barrett's confirmation.
This is Marxist-Leninist party discipline! Horrible! This is not acceptable and totally unamerican! No dimocratic U.S. Senator can justify this in good conscious!
However, it is no surprise: Almost all Dimocratic U.S. Senators (43 of them) voted nay in 2017 on Barret for U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (source). Only Tim Kaine (D, Virginia), Joe Donnelly (D, Indiana) voted for her. Claire McCaskill (D, Missouri) casted no vote.
I have to admit that I am not familiar whether Republican Senators have not engaged in similar voting behavior on previous U.S. Supreme Court nominees. However, even if they have, were those nominees equally qualified and beyond reasonable doubt about their non partisanship and neutrality. Late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (nominated by President Clinton) e.g. would be an interesting case to research. Here are the U.S. Senate votes for RGB: Only three U.S. Senators voted against her! 41 Republican Senators voted for her! What a stark difference! How times have changed for the worse!
What was the impact of classical music in its own time?
I am not an expert in classical music nor music history/sociology. Only late in life, I have discovered this music genre, because I got tired of and bored with contemporary pop music!
However, I believe some of the classical music must have had a tremendous, positive impact on people, who were able to listen to it. Of course, there were no recordings available at the time. Concerts were either expensive or not accessible to many people! However, I presume that perhaps amateur or traveling musicians, whose names or contributions we will perhaps never know, picked up some of the music and played it on the street or gatherings of people for the entertainment of common people. I am speculating here that perhaps the music scene in previous centuries was not as bifurcated as possibly assumed: common people listened to local, rustic, indigenous folk music while nobility and well off people listened to sophisticated classical music.
Given that life was shorter and more brutish then, this music must have been heaven sent, so marvelous, so amazing! Some of it e.g. is of such an intensity and dynamic nature that late 20th century rock music pales compared to it.
President Trump, the super spreader according to Joseph Biden!
I laughed hard today when I first saw the news that presidential candidate Joseph Biden accused President Trump of being a super spreader. Has lying, hiding Biden finally revealed why he stayed in his basemen all the time, because he did not want to spread the virus? What a humble savior from Scranton, Pennsylvania!
And many of us thought, he avoided the public, because the public was not to notice his increasing senility and mental decline! How could reasonable people be so wrong. I am still laughing!
We should sincerely thank Biden for pointing out how harmless the Covid-19 pandemic really is, because despite all the President Trump's many, almost daily public appearances before mass audiences, no dramatic increase in Covid-19 cases have been reported so far. Had there been any such outbreaks CNN and other main stream news outlets would have surely reported it 24/7!
The president himself already proved to the whole world that a 74 year old man with one of the most stressful jobs in the world can easily and fast recover from Covid-19.
Thanks to the Dimocratic Party, this has become one of the strangest, most bizarre U.S. presidential elections in recent memory!
Biden warns Trump over holding ‘super-spreader events’ as US Covid cases surge Democrat also criticizes Amy Coney Barrett celebration plan at White House, while Trump says Biden ‘doesn’t leave his basement’

The Socialist Enabling Act of 2020
Clearly, the fairly harmless coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has become a huge pretext for socialists of many countries to unite behind a takeover of government and subject the citizens to unnecessary misery and economic depression!
This shameless and ruthless exploitation by the left for their political purposes of the Covid-19 pandemic ought to be an enduring lesson to every citizen of the world!
For those who are not familiar with Hitler's Enabling Act of 1933 here is the Wikipedia article about it. Unfortunately, the English term is rather deceptive and misleading. In German this infamous law was referred to as the Ermächtigungsgesetz (my translation: empowerment law), formally titled Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich ("Law to Remedy the Distress of People and Reich").
The eerie similarity of what the socialists of today are trying to do and what national socialist Hitler empowered is mind boggling!
The Likely Libanon-Israel Peace Over Natural Gas
The maritime border conflict between Lebanon and Israeli will most likely be resolved amicably! I do not know the details of this conflict over the natural gas resources (U.S. Energy Information Administration country report), but I bet they will easily find a comprise if both countries are willing.
Israel can easily offer Lebanon financial and technological assistance to help Lebanon to exploit its share of natural gas deposits and so on.
This will be another milestone in ending of the several decades old, what seemed intractable Arab-Israeli conflict. Peace at last in the Middle East thanks to President Trump pursuing the Abraham Accords and Sudan-Israel normalization!
