American Progressivism Is Actually Retardation

Prologue

This blog post is more food for thought than anything else! It is a summary of many thoughts.

American Progressivism

Unfortunately, American Progressivism has a long tradition (goes back to at least the earliest 20th century) and e.g. the names of famous U.S. Presidents are associated with it (e.g. Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt) and so on.

Most if not all the outcomes of American Progressivism have been seriously deleterious:

  1. Individual freedom and responsibility has suffered greatly in this country
  2. Most of the so called achievements of American Progressivism are unconstitutional (e.g. Social Security, minimum wages and many more)
  3. The concentration of power and control in a central government is unprecedented in U.S. history. Federalism was terribly hollowed out latest with the American Civil War
  4. American Progressivism has come so close to Socialism e.g. a la former Soviet Union that the founders and Alexis de Tocqueville would have been awfully shocked
  5. Perhaps worst of all the takeover and control of so many aspects of our daily life and business by the federal government has probably extensively retarded human progress that would have come about if individual liberty was still alive and well in the U.S. It is a setback of enormous proportions!
  6. Progressivism policies are most certainly a heavy brake on economic growth. Thus allowing advocates to peddle the trickle down economics derision!
