It was known since about Summer of 2020 that the SARS-CoV-2/Covid-19 is a fairly harmless pandemic severely affecting only a small minority of the population! A very infectious disease, but rather harmless.
The totally irrational response, the alarmism and hysteria that accompanied this global pandemic for over two years was deeply medieval! This global pandemic was also heavily exploited for ulterior political purposes by e.g. spreading unnecessary fear and by resorting to expansive draconian measures and massively changing how a presidential election was conducted in the U.S.!
