GOP Senate candidate Kathy Barnette (PA) reveals she was the byproduct of rape, but her mother was only 11 years old

Yes, I happened to see her statement yesterday on YouTube. Her statement raises a lot of serious questions. 

Her mother was a rape victim and only 11 years old and she carried the pregnancy to term? Wow! Was abortion considered at all in this case at the time? Was abortion by family members then declined or not considered for religious reasons? What were the consequences to her juvenile mother for the rest of her life? How was Kathy Barnette raised? By her grandparents? Did the rapist get away unpunished by law?

"During a Wednesday debate, Barnette hit out at her opposing candidate, Dr. Mehmet Oz.

"I am so very grateful that our nation is having a very important conversation about life. I am the byproduct of a rape," she declared. "My mother was 11 years old when I was conceived, my father was twenty-one." ..."
