Yesterday, we were shopping at a Fry’s Food grocery store in Phoenix, Arizona, when I noticed a woman dressed in a black burka covering her entire body and face except for the eyes. She was accompanied by an Arab looking man (probably in his 30s) with short hairs and typical Muslim beard. He was nervously looking around constantly. Both were going about their produce shopping like anyone else. There are not many recognizable muslims shopping in our neighborhood Fry’s food grocery store.
I also noticed that he was wearing an open carry handgun in a holster on his belt (open carry is perfectly legal in Arizona). Once, I discovered the handgun, I began monitoring this couple with some unease, but not obviously.
It appears, Muslims living in the U.S. are also nervous after the Paris and the San Bernardino massacres.
