Bad news! I like the self checkout! A reminder of trust, but verify!

The temptation to gain the system can not be ruled out nor can they be easily be eliminated.

Retailers Are Rethinking Self-Checkouts Due to Rampant Theft Retailers are grappling with the increasing challenges posed by self-checkout systems, mostly related to increased levels of shoplifting and stealing. It is a troubling situation for mass market retailers like grocery stores already facing a labor shortage.
