UN World Food Programme calls out Elon Musk to help end starvation with $6B check, but declines his generous donation

Occasionally, Elon Musk seems to have common sense again:
"However, Musk added that the U.N. would need to prove that every penny donated went toward feeding people.
"If WFP can describe on this Twitter thread exactly how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it," Musk said. "But it must be open source accounting, so the public sees precisely how the money is spent."
Musk responded by reaffirming his commitment to transparency.
"Please publish your current & proposed spending in detail so people can see exactly where money goes," Musk said. "Sunlight is a wonderful thing." ..."

"... In 2019, funding [of UN WFP] was a record US$8 billion, of which the largest donors were the United States ($3.4 billion) and Germany ($886.6 million). ..." (Source)

It appears, "the world's largest humanitarian organization, the largest one focused on hunger and food security, and the largest provider of school meals" (Source) was in the end not too much interested in Elon Musk's donation. What a lack of sincerity!
