The inaugural address of the new 18th president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Disappointing!

Like her predecessor L. Rafael Reif, she appears to be quite mediocre, the former provost of Duke University! Don't expect great things from her!

When one of the world's foremost elite universities chooses mediocre presidents!

She checks the checkbox of second female president of MIT! She will most likely be a footnote in history!  Quite possibly MIT now chooses presidents alternating between male and female. The 16th president was a female as well. Gender equality according to MIT?

Her Wikipedia entry does not even state her birth date or whether she is married etc. The entry does not even provide a picture of her! She is actually married to a previous professor of Duke University who will be joining her on the MIT faculty. How nice!

Her Google Scholar profile is not updated. It still says "Duke University School of Medicine". Her lifetime citations count is just over 14,000, which is not a lot given that her age is 61. Plus, the highest citation count for any her about 160 or so papers is 786, which is very low.

She definitely subscribes to the Global Warming hoax and Climate Change religion!

I was not able to find the full text of her inaugural address neither with Google search nor on the MIT website! I also tried the new AI boosted Bing search, but no success! Strange!

"... “As humanity struggles with so many interlocking global crises [???], it has never needed the people of MIT more than it does now,” ...
the subject she discussed at greatest length was climate change, which she called “the greatest scientific and societal challenge of this or any age. [???]” ...
“new flowering of the humanities and the arts at MIT, the fields that tell us what it means, and why it matters, that we are human beings — fields that must be equal partners in inventing a just, humane, and equitable future. [???]” ..."

“Join us in something important and new” | MIT News | Massachusetts Institute of Technology In her inaugural address, President Sally Kornbluth urges the MIT community to tackle pressing challenges, especially climate change, with renewed urgency.
