On uncontrolled and illegal mass immigration into Western countries

This is a very serious and a major issue of our time! It has potentially explosive and destructive repercussions impacting civil society in Western countries.

Uncontrolled and illegal immigration is a very primitive and expedient option chosen by Western elites! It is a callous choice! It demonstrates severe incompetence!

There are some good arguments for more immigration into Western countries e.g. ageing and shrinking populations, skilled labor shortages and so on. However, there are alternatives to mass immigration like better or different job training, reorientation of the domestic labor force, better job incentives, more voluntary civil society assistance and philanthropy, robotics and so on. 

There also strong ideological motivations e.g. borders are obsolete like nation states, feelings of some guilt, humanity is one nation, absolute freedom of migration and so on. Many of them quite dubious!

Then there are some legitimate concerns of the domestic majority populations (a.k.a. as indigenous or native population) like import of cheap labor, increased financial burdens on government and taxpayers, shortages of affordable residential homes, extra strain on the health care system, crimes and ghettoization and so on. Usually, these concerns are quickly brushed aside claiming they were only temporary or short term. Unfortunately, that is not the whole truth and shows a serious lack of sincerely addressing these concerns!

However, there is a critical distinction of controlled and uncontrolled immigration. In the not so distant past of human history uncontrolled immigration often meant occupation, dominance, and displacement of the previous inhabitants of an area.

Then we have the peculiar unwillingness, ignorance, or failure of many of the elected representatives in Western countries to address the issue of mass uncontrolled immigration! Currently, the extreme case is the U.S. under the 46th President and the half-hearted almost lackadaisical counter measures by the most affected southern border states like Arizona and Texas. But similar tendencies can also be observed in e.g. the EU. Immigrants to the EU are frequently cherry picking among the members and so on.

Excuses often used are they are refugees, asylum seekers, victims of emergencies, poverty stricken and so on.

Critics of uncontrolled and illegal immigration are often by default dismissed and demonized as right wing extremists. 

This mix of obvious large scale political failure in Western countries has the potential may trigger in major civil protests, the rise of nationalist parties, or worse! The majority population of Western countries may only tolerate this development for so long!
