Israeli male Navy officer convicted of raping fellow female officer multiple times during same night

How is that possible? 

Both were not really soldiers:

1. Soldiers don't rape! Worse even members of the same military service!
2. A soldier does not allow another soldier of the same military service to be raped (even multiple times)!

P.S. Unfortunately, the article does not mention whether these two soldiers had any romantic affair etc.

"An Israeli Navy officer has been convicted of three rape offenses carried out against a female officer who served alongside him, the IDF said in a statement on Thursday evening.

The officer, Maj. Aviv Natan Songo, belonged to an elite naval unit said N12 in a report on the conviction, and has been convicted on three counts of rape and one count of inappropriate behavior, all of which occurred in 2019 during a military event at a Tel Aviv hotel.

According to the account of the female officer, Songo entered her hotel room while she was asleep and attempted to rape her for the first time that night. Following his first attempt, he then cornered the officer several more times throughout the night and proceeded to rape her. ..."
