The Danish scientist Henrik Svensmark does not have a profile on Google Scholar (regrettable), but on Microsoft Academics (see here). His lifetime citations count at 5,272 is fairly low for a over 60 year old scientist. "He is known for his work on the hypothesis that cosmic rays are an indirect cause of global warming via cloud formation."
Svensmark mentions that the latest IPCC report is totally devoid of any mentioning of the influence of the sun on earth's climate. That would be a glaring omission comparable to that of amateurs!
Svensmark has found new evidence that the sun's periodically fluctuating solar activity influences cosmic particles and rays, which in turn affect the cloud formation on earth.
