The way presidential candidate Donald Trump is heard talking on this video is awful and no man should talk like that. That said!
- Trump grew up in the construction business and is a property developer. It might be a cliche or stereotyping, but a considerable number of people working in this industry tend to talk in vulgar terms at least some of the time or are quite familiar with this kind of talk, unless I am completely mistaken.
- It appears there were two distinct situations that Trump was describing in this video: 1) Lusting after a married woman and 2) A type of female behavior towards rich, celebrity men
- As to the married woman, we do not know when it happened and we do not know exactly whether Trump was aware of her marital status from the beginning. Which man had never had any desires for a sexual affair with a married woman? He admitted that he was not successful, he provides no details. Trump complains about “big, phony tits” and that she “totally changed her looks”. Apparently, Trump prefers women with natural looks. Nothing wrong with that.
- As to women’s behavior towards rich, celebrity men. I almost thought, Trump was actually appalled about these kind of women. That is my take. Either it is a total myth that those kind of women have existed or still exist or there are some women out there who would almost do anything to attract a rich, celebrity man. I am afraid the latter is true and Trump recoiled at such women.
- Trump apologized more than once for this talk to his family, to his voters etc. He said he was not proud of it.
Accusations of sexual assault by Trump related to this video appear to be pure demagoguery and election campaign smearing.
