Harvard University: We ingest plastic nanoparticles equivalent of a credit card per week. Really!

I have some serious doubts about this fantastic sounding claim! Smells of alarmism and hysteria!

Plastophobia is a serious disorder! Please seek immediate medical help!

Billions of humans have been ingesting plastic nanoparticles for at least half a century and longer now! How dangerous was it? How much passed through our bodies without any harm. Half off the world population should be dead now if you believe these academic scaremongers!

"The world has a plastic problem. Not only are nonbiodegradable plastics clogging oceans and landfills, but they’re also invading our bodies.

“Ingestion is the primary route of exposure, and we are consuming about 5 grams of micronanoplastics per week; that’s the equivalent of a credit card,” said Philip Demokritou, the founding director of the Environmental Health Nanoscience Laboratory and the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanotoxicology at the School of Public Health. ..."
