In Sweden, There’s No COVID-19 Lockdown

Very recommendable! Sweden, one of a few major Western countries that did the right thing facing Covid-19. No government mandated overall shutdown of the economy or ordered quarantine of the people! Bravo Sweden! Voices of reason from Scandinavia!

"After logging over 1,000 COVID-19 deaths, Sweden has faced a rash of criticism for having perhaps the least restrictive rules in the world regarding social distancing, as restaurants and bars and some schools remain open while staying at home is urged but not mandated."

4 Keys to Understanding Sweden’s Controversial COVID-19 Policy: “Sweden is suffering very gravely,” President Trump says. But is it?

Schweden setzt auf Gebote statt Verbote: Verantwortungslosen droht «Corona-Scham»

Bravo Schweden! Voices of reason in a time of mass panic and mass hysteria like the medieval ages and medieval superstitions are back

South Korea Provides Good Lessons on Coronavirus Response

Praise for the South Korean approach! South Korea has clearly demonstrated how to handle an epidemic in the 20th year of the 21st century without resorting to medieval methods based on superstition!
Most Western countries have completely failed in this respect!

Why was this approach not more widely emulated like in the U.S.? Until about 3/10/2020, South Korea had one of the highest infection rates of all countries outside of China. Since then South Korea has managed to keep the increase of new cases to a few hundred per day or even significantly less.

" ... Seoul was able to accomplish it without imposing China’s draconian social measures or declaring widespread quarantines, travel bans, or business closures, as in other countries. ... South Korea was rightly praised for its well-organized and aggressive mitigation efforts. Seoul implemented rapid and extensive testing, combined with high-tech monitoring and public notifications to identify and contain new cases. ... Characteristics of Seoul’s approach included quickly implementing widespread testing, having the national leadership provide strong direction, relying on innovative interaction with businesses that reduced government red tape, and executing extensive and intrusive personal monitoring. ..."

Let's not forget that this "extensive and intrusive monitoring" was probably focused to probable cause or infected people.

"One week after that meeting, South Korea’s equivalent of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began approving companies’ diagnostic tests with others soon following. Within two weeks, South Korea was producing 100,000 kits per day. ... South Korea isolated and treated patients with mild or even no symptoms, which constrained further spread and minimized the impact on hospitals."

South Korea Provides Lessons, Good and Bad, on Coronavirus Response | The Heritage Foundation: Early international media reporting on the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus in South Korea was both alarming and alarmist.

News coverage emphasized that, outside of China, South Korea had the highest number of coronavirus cases, which led 170 other countries to impose travel entry bans on South Koreans.

But, after new cases peaked in late February, the number of sick people is now decreasing and the number of recovered patients is rising.

Why Taiwan Hasn't Shut Down Its Economy

Very recommendable! Voices of reason found on a small island constantly threatened by the Communist Party of China (CPC)!

By the way, it is a huge scandal that the WHO at the behest of CPC does not show Taiwan COVID-19 infections separately!

"However, in Taiwan and other parts of Asia, including Singapore and Hong Kong, no massive mandatory quarantine or containment has been applied so far."
The article was not updated. Meanwhile, Singapore & Hong Kong have resorted to stricter quarantine measures.

" ... The Taiwanese government is controlling the spread of the infection with flexible policies, which leave much room for individuals to take initiative and make their own decisions. ... Taking the schools as an example, the beginning of the course was delayed for two weeks at first. Currently schools' policy is to take students, teachers, and workers' temperatures. If fevers are detected, classes in that school are suspended, but massive class suspensions do not occur. ... In many Taiwanese universities, online teaching is being promoted in order to let those who are not able to attend class in person to take courses. Although it is true that online education as a way to avoid infections has already been adopted in other countries, the peculiarity of Taiwan lies in the fact that it has not been imposed by government order. ... enterprises the time they need to voluntarily prepare and adopt teleworking progressively. Other countries instead suddenly shut many businesses down through mandatory government orders ..."

Why Taiwan Hasn't Shut Down Its Economy - Foundation for Economic Education: The key is that the Taiwanese government and the Taiwanese people understand that the individual's own responsibility and actions are essential to suppressing the coronavirus pandemic, not a mandatory massive shutdown. This is what the world needs to learn.

Coronavirus: Schweden scheut das direkte Verbot

Finally, voices of reason coming out of Sweden! Bravo! Trust citizens to be responsible! No massive lock downs, quarantines, business shutdowns ... ! Lessons for the so disappointing British prime minister Boris Johnson!

SOUTH KOREA: how to FIGHT against CORONAVIRUS without CRIPPLING the COUNTRY

Very recommendable! Very impressive! Voices of reason in times of panic and hysteria!

South Korean (KR) government responded immediately with e.g. flight cancellations from China when there was not even a single case of infection in KR. KR tested by far more persons than any other country for the virus in a massive testing effort ...

Final Thoughts: Irrational Coronavirus Concerns

Recommendable! A rare voice of reason in these times of panic and hysteria!

At least someone who points out that e.g. more than 30,000 people died this influenza season in the U.S. alone! Why is nobody concerned about this or starts stockpiling on toilet paper?

Keep calm and carry on! to our fellow British citizens! British commonsense prevails! Bravo!
