"The rough amount of new electric-vehicle charging plugs installed this year so far, on pace with last year, according to charging-industry data firm Paren. That is despite EV sales in the U.S. being down by half compared with last year. While optimism in the industry has been in short supply, charging executives say they are aiming to serve longtime EV owners—while prepping infrastructure for a day when demand might bounce back."
