The World Meteorological Organization: What a purveyor of alarmism and hysteria! Is WMO desperate for more funding?

Fact is we still understand very little about the complex phenomena such as climate and oceanology!

How far does "observed history" go back in time? 100 years? More? How much was observed more than 100 years ago?

What a pretense of knowledge! "1.43 °C above the 1850-1900 average"! Laughable! Who are they trying to fool with such pretentious precision! How much is the uncertainty about this measurement (which has been conveniently omitted by the WMO)?

What about e.g. the Medieval Warm Period?

Let's not forget, the so called greenhouse gases (what a nice propaganda term) are nothing but trace gases in the atmosphere, some of them, like CO2, are life essential.

Hopefully, President Trump has stopped any further funding of this ludicrous international organization!

"WMO’s State of the Global Climate report 2025 confirms that 2015-2025 are the hottest 11-years on record, and that 2025 was the second or third hottest year on record, at about 1.43 °C above the 1850-1900 average. For the first time, the report includes the Earth’s energy imbalance as one of the key climate indicators.

The Earth’s energy balance measures the rate at which energy enters and leaves the Earth system. Under a stable climate, incoming energy from the sun is about the same as the amount of outgoing energy.  

However, increasing concentrations of heat-trapping greenhouse gases - carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide - to their highest level in at least 800,000 years have upset this equilibrium.

The Earth’s energy imbalance has increased since its observational record began in 1960, particularly in the past 20 years. It reached a new high in 2025. ..."

From the summary of the annual report:

"- Earth’s energy imbalance is at its highest level on record.

- The past 11 years are the warmest on record, and 2025 was among the three warmest globally.

- The ocean is warmer and more acidic than ever in the observed record.

- Climate extremes are posing growing risks to lives, food security, health, and economies

WMO: Carbon dioxide levels increase by record amount to new highs in 2024. Really!

Schock! Laughable! We are talking here about parts per million! Plant some more trees!

The data only goes back to 1957 (like the first satellite Sputnik)! What a joke! What if there was more CO2 in the atmosphere in the first half of the 20th century!

Just look at the chart below. It is almost pure demagoguery! This sharp increase is due to manipulation of scale etc.. What does it actually mean that CO2 increased from about 340 to about 430 parts per million between 1985 and 2025? E.g. were the global measurements in 1985 as accurate as they are now? I doubt it!

What about world population? In 1957, it was around 2.9 billion, in 2025 it is about 8.2 billion. Every human breathes CO2! Maybe we all should stop breathing a few minutes a day?

For "methane and nitrous oxide", the WMO does not even bother to provide quantitative results in their summary!

"The WMO Greenhouse Gas Bulletin said continued emissions of CO2 from human activities and an upsurge from wildfires were responsible, as well as reduced CO2 absorption by “sinks” such as land ecosystems and the ocean – in what threatens to be a vicious climate cycle.  

Growth rates of CO2 have tripled since the 1960s, accelerating from an annual average increase of 0.8 ppm per year to 2.4 ppm per year in the decade from 2011 to 2020. From 2023 to 2024, the global average concentration of CO2 surged by 3.5 ppm, the largest increase since modern measurements started in 1957. ...

Concentrations of methane and nitrous oxide – the second and third most important long-lived greenhouse gases related to human activities – have also risen to record levels. ...

This baloney news release by the WMO was spread by numerous news outlets!

It is a shame how the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) engages in propaganda and demagoguery!

Just take "sea surface temperatures". These were only measured by satellite. The first meteorological satellite came out only in about 1960. Sea surface data are apparently only available since 1979.

Of course, the WMO was selectively picking data:

"Antarctic sea ice extent remained at a record low level for the time of year, with a monthly value 12% below average, by far the largest negative anomaly for August since satellite observations began in the late 1970s. Greenhouse Gas Bulletin 2020: Another Year Another Record Propaganda

This propaganda and demagoguery is coming straight from the World Meteorological Organisation! 

According to the WMO: Those terrible humans have dared to upset the earth's natural equilibrium! Why don't these humans just go extinct or go back to living in a cave again! (Caution: irony, satire). 

How did the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere rise again in 2020 when the International Energy Agency reports "As primary energy demand dropped nearly 4% in 2020, global energy-related CO2 emissions fell by 5.8% according to the latest statistical data, the largest annual percentage decline since World War II. In absolute terms, the decline in emissions of almost 2 000 million tonnes of CO2 is without precedent in human history – broadly speaking, this is the equivalent of removing all of the European Union’s emissions from the global total. ..."

According to the WMO:

"The abundance of heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere once again reached a new record last year, with the annual rate of increase above the 2011-2020 average. That trend has continued in 2021, according to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Greenhouse Gas Bulletin.

Concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2), the most important greenhouse gas, reached 413.2 parts per million in 2020 and is 149% of the pre-industrial level. Methane (CH4) is 262% and nitrous oxide (N2O)  is 123% of the levels in 1750 when human activities started disrupting Earth’s natural equilibrium. ..."

Absurditäten werden von Medien gerne unkritisch weitergegeben! Was wissen die Wetterfrösche was die Covid-19 Pandemie angeht? Oder wollen die Wetterfrösche einfach mitquaken? 😄

Da wir dank massiver Anzahl von Genesenden und Impfungen bald Heteroimmunität (ca. 60%-80% Immunisierte (natürlich oder geimpft)) erreicht haben, sind solche Wetterspekulationen ehedem eher hinfällig.

Natürlich die Bürger sollen weiter in Angst und Schrecken leben, um die Umwelt und das Klima zu schützen!
