This is a scary statistic, but I presume it also quite flawed. The chart says nothing about how many people were asked, demographics etc. etc.

Inwieweit vielleicht auch Behinderte dienen können ist eine andere Frage. Grundsätzlich warum nicht, vielleicht auf freiwilliger basis und abhängig von Geeignetheit?

Wie weibliche Soldaten im Verteidigungsfall oder z.B. in special operations eingesetzt werden ist ist auch zu berücksichtigen.

True gender equality is not achieved as long as women are treated differently than men when it comes to military service! Anything else is cherry picking and delusional!

To register women for military draft is the least that can be done towards gender equality regarding this subject!

Serving in the military and being a conscientious objector

Is this possible? Is this not contradictory?

Yes, it is! I am a living example!

I served the regular compulsory-military service in the German army in the early 1980s (while it was still West Germany), but I applied and became an officially recognized conscientious objector not very long after I completed my military service. 

My rational mind fully understands and supports the necessity to be able to defend a liberal and humanist constitution based on division of power and democracy with military means when attacked by a hostile military force.

My strong pacifist conviction requires non-violence at all times. Self defense is an exception.

Bravo! That is what I call gender equality!

The Viking spirit is alive! Danes are getting ready for President Trump's second term!

Besides Denmark only Norway and Sweden (all Scandinavian countries) are the only countries in Europe to do so!

Remember: Feminists etc. like cherry picking! Similar with jobs in the mining or construction industry: Let men do the dirty work!

Debatte um Wiedereinführung der Wehrpflicht - „Wir sollten über mögliche Formen einer Dienstpflicht nachdenken“

Wer den Frieden bewahren will, muss sich auf den Krieg vorbereiten (eine sehr alte Weisheit).

Drei Anmerkungen zum Thema Wehrpflicht:

1. Wehrpflicht würde unter Umständen zu einer besseren Integration von Einwanderern führen oder ermöglichen
2. Im Sinne der Gleichberechtigung sollte die Wehrpflicht auch für Frauen eingeführt werden. Würde auch dazu beitragen etwaige, immer noch bestehende, Vorurteile gegen Frauen zu reduzieren. Wäre Wehrdienst mit Frauen und Männern gemeinsam nicht viel reizender (Stichwort: Babyboom nach Dienst (Vorsicht: Satire))? 😊
3. Während meiner Wehrdienstzeit habe ich jede Menge tolle Kerle (mit allen möglichen beruflichen und familiären Hintergründen usw.) aus verschiedenen Regionen Deutschlands (z.B. Westerwald) kennen- und schätzen gelernt, die ich vielleicht ohne die Bundeswehr nie getroffen hätte. Z.B. manche Vorurteile werden so schnell korrigiert.

Kurz zur zweiten Anmerkung: Feministinnen sind Rosinenpicker. Lasst die blöden Männer doch bluten und sterben, für uns Frauen die bestbezahltesten und edlen Jobs in den Chefetagen.

I think, the West ought to learn from Israel about women soldiers!

Western countries like to show off female ministers of defense (banana republic Germany even had three in a role), but there is still a very strange understanding that only males need to serve!

There is no real gender equality if women (transgender males) do not do military service (voluntarily or draft)! E.g. Western feminists like to shirk military service for decades! Let men do the dirty work!

Israeli male Navy officer convicted of raping fellow female officer multiple times during same night

How is that possible? 

Both were not really soldiers:

1. Soldiers don't rape! Worse even members of the same military service!
2. A soldier does not allow another soldier of the same military service to be raped (even multiple times)!

P.S. Unfortunately, the article does not mention whether these two soldiers had any romantic affair etc.

When I saw the front page today of the U.S. print edition of the Wall Street Journal, I was delighted. The headline read “U.S. to Open All Military Combat Roles to Women”.

Anybody who demands equal rights for women also needs to demand the same for military service. Too many women tried to cherry pick in the past.

The Meaning of Equal Rights

Rights usually come with duties to. If women are to enjoy equal rights, they also need to share the burden to defend these rights when necessary.

For decades it has puzzled me that prominent feminists or women’s rights activists have been quite mum about military service for women like cherry pickers.

Yes, male-only draft registration in the U.S. is undoubtedly unconstitutional. The German constitution also used to contain (and I believe it still does) a clause excluding women from any war related military service.
